We are both very similar artists. We dance in front of many diffferent types of crowds and always make our dances unique. You especially do with your incredible jewelry. It is absolutely gorgeous by the way! But whenever we dance on stage, we add our own personality and soul, which is just great. As much as we are alike, we are also very different. You are a very good spy. I have never been very good at spying. Although I look very graceful on stage, I am actually a rather clumsy person. How has also being a spy affected your dancing? What kinds of things do you spy for? Have you been spying on the other artists working nowadays? They are absolutely amazing! Have you heard of Irene Castle? She is an amazing ballroom dancer! Her foot move so quickly but gracefully. I don't know about you, but ballroom dancing has always looked so difficult to me. Living during this war has really influenced my dancing. I used to always dance in my hometown, Russia, but once the war came, people stopped coming to see my shows. I guess they were just so worried about leaving there houses. I had to make a living somehow, so I decided to travel around. Traveling has really influenced my work as an artist. I have learned so much about so many different cultures. I have really been trying to incorporate those different cultures into my dancing.
Mata, I am very fond of you, seeing that we both have our similar ways. I feel that we both head straight for what we want and do not stop until we get it. I think we both think the same way but just have different ideas. I am a vaudeville performer and as for you, you are a dancer and an spy. That to me is two very unalike subjects, but i'm sure you do your job o so well. I don't know how you do the job you doit seems very challenging, but i guess that is just in my case. All of the artists are doing a very great job. The World War I era influences my work as an artist because it helps me get more into character and helps me with my song writing. How does the era we are in now influence you? hope you respond back!
I can see how we are similar...artisticly. Hehe. We both love to dance and put oh so much power and emotion into what we love to do, and I can tell all of this just by looking at this beautiful picture! But I can also see some of our differences you see you aren't just a magnificent dancer your also a great spy. Like they say no one can do it as well as mata. Oh just thinking on it now, what you may ask oh its of all of the other talented people in our era ranging from ann pavlova to coco chanel! Geez I'm just so startsruck when it comes to them. *sigh* the war is such a cold place don't you agree? I don't know about you but for me it was very tragic, but inspired me and helped me to push through it all:)

ReplyDeleteIt is very interesting that you were a spy. What type of objectives were you sent out to do? Did you enjoy being a spy?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by 100% performer?
